Description
SureFire offers the QuickDraw Lite spray tender with two flowmeter options. The premium mass meter is the same meter used in the QuickDraw Max fully automated system.
The precision gear meter is a lower cost option that still offers improved measurement accuracy compared to many meters used in the industry. The gear meter is a mechanical meter with spinning gears unlike the mass meter with no moving parts. To prevent anything from jamming the metering gears, a strainer must be used on the chemical products. SureFire ships the unit with a 30 mesh strainer and strongly recommends no larger strainer be used. The operator must rinse the strainer bowl to manage chemical contamination for crop/chemical combinations that could cause damage.
With the gear meter a paddle flow switch is also added to detect liquid flow. The gear meter will actually continue to spin with only air being moved through the meter; for example when a chemical shuttle runs empty. The paddle flow switch is only activated by liquid, so QuickDraw Lite will ignore the gear meter signal when the paddle flow switch detects air is passing through the meter.
